http://www.lakeminnetonkahalfmarathon.com/

If you are running or spectating at the Minnetonka Half Marathon on Sunday May 5th, stop by the medical tent at the finish line to say hi.  Runners will also be getting hydrated at the last 2 water stations by the athletic training staff from OSR Physical Therapy.

OSR Physical Therapy along with the Fire Department from Excelsior Fire District will be providing the medical care at the finish line and throughout the race.  Excelsior Fire District will be taking care of all medical emergencies and the athletic trainers from OSR will be taking care of the acute orthopedic conditions that arise from running the race.

We are looking forward to a great event and hope to see some of you there.

Pitch 2 Pitch

OSR Physical Therapy and Pitch-2-Pitch Baseball Academy

The Athletic Trainers at OSR Physical Therapy have begun to provide outreach coverage for 2 baseball academy’s this winter; one of these being Pitch-2-Pitch Baseball Academy in Chanhassen.

So far, our Athletic Trainers have taken care of the Minnesota Millers and local youth participating in clinics and camps at P2P.  Pitch-2-Pitch offers private lessons, pre-season clinics, and the Minnesota Millers baseball club.  Currently Pitch-2-Pitch is preparing local youth for high school and summer baseball tryouts.  Check out P2P’s website below for times.  OSR provides onsite coverage for these athletes.

This includes evaluation of injuries, recommendations for treatment of their injuries, and being shown stretches and some rehabilitation exercises.  Some common injuries seen during the pre-season for baseball include: arm soreness, elbow pain, shoulder pain, muscle strains.  If you or someone you know is experiencing any aches or pains come on in to one of our 2 locations.  OSR looks forward to continuing to provide coverage at Pitch-2-Pitch.
